Lists & Notes

I’ve now spent 50 days in India. So why start blogging from here?

Ok, I'll admit that another reason I started this blog is because I'm genuinely concerned that so much has happened during the last 5 weeks that I need some way of preserving these memories!

Good question; it’s a particularly good question as there are several possible answers. Choose from the options provided below;

a) It’s taken me almost two months to adjust to the climate/food/lifestyle here in India, let alone put it into words coherent enough for other people to understand.

b) My life here has only really just got into a proper routine concerning which classes I’m teaching etc.

c) I wanted to spent the first few weeks here fully immersed in the place and the people, rather than worry about recording absolutely everything.

d) Seeing the blogs of fellow teaching assistants has made me jealous.

e) Perhaps, only in the last week or so have I decided that I’m going to stay for the duration of my placement, and hence writing this blog isn’t totally awkward.

f) I had to actually learn how to use WordPress.

All of the above are applicable in their own way. Stay tuned.
